It's the Camera

Image
How many times have you heard your work described as being good or some other positive metaphor with the added comment that "it's good CUZ... they have a great camera."

I believe it is the individual using whatever camera that achieves great results. I know some photographers that use 'point and shoot' (compact) cameras that produce great work. They have an artisticeye and understand how to get the best out of their camera.

Whatever camera you are using, make an effort to learn everything about your camera.  I am positive you will be pleased.

Easy Feelin

Image
Hope this scene provides you with that 'easy feelin'.

Family Tree

Image
Have you ever wondered about your roots... who came before you? Some time ago, my brother Mitchell researched and eventually pulled together our family tree.

Here are a few generations.

Surfs Up

Image
Something I've never tried, but it seems to be an activity that is becoming more and more popular. The young lady in the above photo certainly appears to be healthy and strong. Nevertheless, she did get knocked off a few times while I watched her battle the incoming surf.

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Columbus Day!

Northern Mockingbird

Image
It seems I only see these gorgeous birds during autumn.
Happy Thanksgiving!
P.S.  My knee is still sore, but on the mend.  Thank you for all your well-wishes!

All Dressed and Ready to Go

Image
This particular shot came off much better than I thought it would. The light was high and hot and almost overwhelmed the bird's head.

Have a great day!

Autumn in Colour

Let autumn colour your world.

These two images were taken at a great distance.

Hope you're enjoying life.

Waterway, a Duck, my Knee Surgery and More

Image
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My knee surgery went relatively well.  I'm home recovering and dealing with some pain, swelling etc... and can't wait to get the staples removed.  I'm also anxious to see my surgeon on the follow-up appointment to learn more about the surgery and his thoughts on my knee.  That's all the news about my knee.

On a different note, one of my photos was submitted to Canadian Geographic and placed 'First Honourable Mention' in the Canadian Wildlife Photography of the Year Contest.

Have a wonder filled day.
