Water, Snow and Ice

The Glenora Ferry operates all year long and the service is provided free of charge.  It serves as the western terminus of the Glenora Ferry, which connects the two shores between Glenora (Prince Edward County) and Adolphustown as part of the Loyalist Parkway.

Waterfowl enjoy the open water the Ferry provides

You can see a duck running across the water to avoid the approaching Ferry.

Great shots, Daniel. The blue sky makes the difference. Really gorgeous to see the ferry between the ice. I am glad to see snow and ice on your pictures. Here in the Netherlands we had only rain, storm and grey weather this winter. It is much too warm. Have a nice weekend. Greetings, Joke

It must take quite a lot of work to keep the ferry open.

We love taking the Glenora ferry, but haven't done so in the winter for ages. We should pop down on a lovely sunny day and enjoy the ride.

That's cool that they can run the ferry through an ice channel all winter long.
