Common in Name

Many species have the prefix Common as part of their name (i.e. Common This, Common That).  I don't know how the 'powers that be' arrive at establishing a name but it seems short-sighted to name anything 'common' even if it's a species abundant in number.

For a "common" bird it sure has an uncommon tail.
