Winter Coat Wanderer

Another pleasant surprise is capturing images of the secretive Coyote(s) that venture onto our property.   You can hear them howl some evenings.  I often wonder what is being said and conveyed.  You can see the density of their winter coats makes them appear slightly larger.

Have yourself a wonderful today and tomorrow!

Wow! You are surrounded by nature.

They really are quite small when compared to our GSDs. I actually like hearing the yip yips of the families as they roam across our acres. :)

we get some large packs of them here - sometimes they come thru 3 or 4 times during the night, baying, wailing, yipping and stirring up or dogs.

I came upon one in Texas one time and we both froze. He looked pretty raggedy and hungry. I felt sorry for him. My dog, Chance, resembles the coyote, so I have a soft spot for them.

Great captures of coyotes. They aren't so secretive here, not all that unusual to see them at the edge of the forest in the middle of the day.

There's a lot out there on your property that goes bump in the night.

Ah, I'm jealous. I've never seen a coyote, let alone managed a pic of one. Good stuff!

Nice shots! Used to see them in Vancouver where I used to live. I have not seen them here on the island yet.

What surprises you get in your night photos. I have a coyote that comes and hunts in our field. Unfortunetly my camera zoom just doesn't get close enough for a good shot.
