Walkabout & Newcomers

We typically go on a walk and take note of any changes we see.  After an extremely dry and hot summer, it's nice to see water accumulating in areas where it is expected.  Sightings of deer tracks and coyote scat reminds us we're not alone.

Today we had a couple of firsts on our tract of land.

Pleated Woodpecker (female)

Red Fox Sparrow

Have yourself a wonderful today and tomorrow. :)

That woodpecker picture is incredible. You must be part invisible to get shots like this.

Loving that woodpecker Daniel -- wonderful capture!

How much land do you have? Do you live on it? It looks great for taking nature photos.

Superb close ups of the Pileated Woodpecker! They are one of my favorite woodies! I can't help but to be intrigued by them when they stop by my yard. Hope you have a great week!

What a cool sighting. I've heard pileated woodpeckers on a few occasions but have never seen one, to date
