Up Up and Away

What a magnificent creature. It couldn't have evolved to mimic the colors of a telephone pole and wires but it is the same colors. So interesting.

They are so beautiful! We have two that live in our neighborhood and we had to escort our mini doxie puppy out when he had to pee to prevent him from becoming 'lunch'....now that he is larger...no worries...at least I hope not.

Splendid picture - I love the way that just the wing tips of the bird are blurred as it takes off - gives the image some real energy.
