Winter Diving Duck

Pulled these two from my photo grab bag.  They're from a winter shoot.  You can see some bits of ice floating in the water.

And they are a very difficult bird to get good pictures of - very shy. So well done! Mine don't look near as good. Haven't seen any here yet this year, but they'll be here soon and I'll try again!

@ Paul: I agree with you, they're hard to capture. Thank goodness for digital.

There's something so endearing about buffleheads. They stop by our local pond, occasionally. Lovely captures.

What I rely think is that I guess you forgot to disconnect your other blogs?
Maybe you're quite like " LaFrance" in Northern Ontario?
It seems they didn't understand that many thought it was crool to kill animals for excess and " superficiality " of riches.
I like the duck.
I just hope nobody kills it in " Qelyt ".
Wildlife, being wildlife.
A little bird called " Mr . Sparrow" gave his word.
And he's helping spare the woods and forests, lakes and rivers and streams.
CT also has many organizations for " green"?
