Prince Edward County is home to a number of wonderful wineries and vineyards. Linda and I have and continue to venture out and discover what makes the County wines so popular.
On Wednesday, Sept 5 we visited four wineries. I was the designated driver and Linda enjoyed the wine as she celebrated her birthday on another beautiful summers day.
Hiller Creek had but two wines to sample and available for purchase when we visited. They have a nice outdoor area under their pagoda and a pizza oven if you're in the mood for some pizza.
Stanners' may be small in scale but not on quality. Owners are genuine and friendly, making you feel at home.
A little larger in scale, but equally good is Closson Chase. They are one of a few wineries found on Closson Road. Like others, their tasting room is in a converted barn.
As previously mentioned there are a few wineries on Closson Road and Lacey Estates is one of them. Small in size as most are in Prince Edward County, their aim is focused on quality as one of the newer wineries in the County.
